Product Usage / Application

Installation and Removal Time

90 minutes for installing a full lengthening is easily achievable, using six packs or 150 extensions. The same tool that secures the Finest Links removes it quickly and cleanly in under 15 minutes without leaving any residue behind.

A pack of Finest Links hair extensions contains 25 individually wrapped, Perfectress^® Link and Loop preloaded, hair extensions that can be installed straight out of the packaging.

They are affixed with Micro Links that have a 2.5mm outer diameter, 1.5mm inner diameter and are just 3mm high. The Micro Links have rounded edges that don’t cut or damage the natural hair.

Installation and Removal

Installation Guide

1Stick your index finger and thumb through the loop and pull the section of hair through it. Then place the natural hair to the side while holding the loop in place.

2Slide the Finest Link and Micro Link upwards into place, pull the loop through which will thread the natural hair through the Finest Link and the Micro Link at the same time.

3Grab the Micro Link with The Transformer and insert it fully and vertically into the tip. Slide the Link upwards until you feel a certain resistance and secure it with one firm squeeze.

4Complete, a smooth and soft finish. The Finest Link sits freely around the hair section and is kept in place by the Micro Link.

Removal Guide

1Looking up close you will see that the Finest Link has a side with a small gap. This gap is made to make it easier to separate the natural hair from the Finest Link before removal. Take the first hole in the transformer and place the crimped Micro Link crosswise in it as shown. Give it a gentle squeeze to open the Micro Link.

2Remove the Micro Link and the Finest Link will slide out without any residue or damage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I reuse Micro Links?

No, you cannot reuse Micro Links. New Micro Links must be used with each application. Reused Micro Links have a very high chance of collapsing during removal.

How long can Finest Links be worn with each application?

We recommend to wear Finest Links no longer than 12 weeks. It will stay in for much longer but to protect the quality of the natural hair you should remove them after this period.

Can I use other Tools to secure the Finest Links with?

No, you can only crimp the Links with the Transformer LW. The grove that it creates is what actually keeps the Link secured in the hair. Other pliers will not work!

How many times can you reuse Finest Links hair extensions?

Finest Links can be worn for up to a year or longer. It all depends on the maintenance regime, wear and tear and the amount of times that they are removed and reinstalled.

What type of hair is used in the Finest Links hair extension?

At Perfectress we have sourced all of our hair ourselves for over 35 years. Although we will not discuss this into detail, we can reveal that we are sourcing it from the so called “highlands” from independent suppliers and sources. We do not buy or use long term stored hair or buy from unknown or unethical sources.

Can I color or perm the hair?

We do not recommend that you color our colored hair selection. If you like to color the hair we advice you to use the special “B series” from our color range. The “B” stands for “bleached”. The B series have only had one treatment which is bleaching it to a certain color level and thats it. Because it hasn’t received a recoloring treatment to unify the color within our color range, you can still add your own color to it. However, we do not recommend that you bleach it again, instead pick a color that is slightly lighter than the desired color and dye it a darker color. Please be aware that ALL chemical treatment voids warranty at all times.

How Many Finest Links do I need?

Here are some estimates of the amount of Finest Links that you will need for; A full head or full lengthening takes up between 125 and 200 pieces. It varies because it will depend on how thick the natural hair is and how long you would like to make it. It is better to have some extensions left over afterwards than being a handful short for a perfect finish. You can keep those for a later time. Volumizing service; This can vary between 25 to 75 pieces. This gives generally enough extra hair for a sizable difference in thickness.

Regular Colors

Regular Colors are made from Virgin Hair and received a coloring treatment with the exception of colors that start with a “B”. “B” colors are only bleached till a certain color level and have not been recolored to unify the color to our range. Therefore, they are the best option to finish the color in a shade that you want.

***B series colors means that the hair is only bleached once and that you can still color the hair according to your own needs. Always pick a color that is lighter than the aimed color. You cannot bleach the B series and warranty on all of our hair will be void if ANY chemical is used on it.
